The 2025 season finale at the Shell V-Power Motorsport Park did not disappoint.

Qualifying on Saturday set the tone but the speed of the newer XXR cars showed. Nevertheless, securing P3 was a big achievement - the highest-placed older generation car (XX) and the only one inside the Top 5.

Starting from third in Race 1, Ruairi launched off the line perfectly, sending it down the inside and was in the lead going into the first corner.  After controlling the race for the first 10 laps,  the XXRs inevitably caught up and in the end, he crossed the line in P2.

In Sunday’s race, the opening lap dropped Ruairi back to P4.  A strong pit stop saw him into P3 and from there it was a straight chase.  However, despite closing the gap and applying pressure, he couldn’t find a way through, settling for P3 at the flag.

Overall, a P3 podium finish for Round 5 and the first XX gen Radical over the finish line.  A strong finish to the season!
